Happy Monday, everyone! Hope it’s going easier for you than it is for this cowboy.  Although I suppose it all depends on your age, doesn’t it? The young ones probably spur him on, and the older ones pray they don’t get bucked off and crippled up!

If you’re interested in this beautiful print by Chuck DeHaan, send me an email at vickie@reatagallery.com, or call me at 575-649-0636.

Chuck DeHaan, "Ridin' Old Paint 'N' Leadin' Ol' Dan"The fog that was hanging around this morning made me think about this beautiful old print by Chuck DeHaan. With the snow and the fog, can’t you just feel that cold weather envelop you? “Ridin’ Old Paint ‘N’ Leadin’ Ol’ Dan” is a limited edition print, 21″H X 17″W, and it’s sold out by the publisher, but I have one available. Drop me an email at vickie@reatagallery.com if you’re interested.    #HappySunday    #lovewesternart

Chuck DeHaan, "Midnight"Who’s a fan of black horses? Isn’t this one gorgeous? Artist Chuck DeHaan is well known and appreciated for his horses, and this is a great example. “Midnight” is an Artist Proof print, 21″H X 17″W, and as you can see, this one also has a Remarque. Send me an email at vickie@reatagallery.com or call me at 575-649-0636 if you’re interested. #lovewesternart

Chuck DeHaan, "Broncs"Happy Hump Day, everyone! Here’s a great little bronc print by the well known Chuck DeHaan. The quote in the lower right corner reads,

“Broncs in the rough string can never be trusted.

They can kick the saddle out of a man’s hand with the blinds on.

Some will try to fall over backwards on a man.

Many will try to leave out when being mounted, even though they’re cheeked and their head pulled around.”

This is an open edition print, but it’s an older one that I haven’t seen elsewhere, and this is the last one I have. The image size is 16″H X 15″W, and with this frame, it’s 18″H X 17″W. It’ll likely be in the booth with me next month at the Western Heritage Classic in Abilene, TX.

Chuck DeHaan, "Smokey"How’s your Hump Day going? Better than this cowboy’s? Although it looks like he’s hangin’ in there pretty good. Love this limited edition print, “Smokey,” by Chuck DeHaan. I had the pleasure of meeting Chuck at the Quarter Horse Museum’s Art Show last fall; one of the highlights of my evening.

Chuck DeHaan, "The Quarterhorse"I’m baaa-aaack! The last 8 or 9 days have been crazy with travel and so many things going on. The America’s Horse in Art Show in Amarillo was a lot of fun, and it was very well attended, but there wasn’t near enough time to see so much art and to talk to some of the artists. However, I did get a chance to meet and visit with Chuck DeHaan, which was a real highlight for me.

Here’s one of Chuck’s older limited edition prints, “The Quarterhorse.” It measures 17.25″H X 25.5″W, and the price is $150. Don’t you love that early morning mist? You know just how fresh that horse is feeling, too.

Chuck DeHaan, "Above and Beyond"This is always a popular print, and especially appropriate on Mother’s Day!

I expect that all of the kids are officially done with the school year now! Hope everyone has a fun summer. I have lots of great summertime memories from my childhood. One that pops up now is a trip with my Dad, driving six hours, one way, in a semi, hauling cattle to the Sioux City Stockyards. I was probably all of 85 lbs then, if that, and was bouncing all over the seat on that rough ride! And forget about air conditioning. But it was a great time just hanging out with my Dad. So what are some of your best memories?

You’ve seen this print before, but here it is with frame and mats. I never get tired of seeing “Above and Beyond,” by Chuck DeHaan.

Made it home from the Western Heritage Classic in Abilene! It was a good show, and it’s always fun to meet more people who enjoy western art. I had a great conversation with a gentleman who has a collection of over 50 pieces of Chuck DeHaan’s work, including this one, “O That Strawberry Roan.” Don’t you love it? I only have one of these available, so give me a call if you’re interested.

Don’t forget, it’s Mother’s Day next Sunday! Be sure to do something special for that person who always goes “Above and Beyond” without saying a word.

Enjoy this wonderful print by Chuck DeHaan.
